1Delete the backup in the app

  1. Open ResidentStep and go to Settings → Backup.
  2. Tap Delete, then confirm.

ResidentStep deletes your encrypted backup first, then its sign-in account, right away. To also remove ResidentStep from your Apple or Google account’s list of apps that use your sign-in, go to Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings, or to your Google account’s connected apps.

2Ask us by email

If you can’t use the app, email us from the address your backup account uses: the one Apple or Google shared when you signed in.

We’ll confirm it’s your account, delete the backup and its sign-in account, and reply when it’s done. Don’t send any records, dates or document numbers.

3What is deleted

  • Your backup in Google Cloud Firestore: the encrypted copy of your records.
  • Its sign-in account in Firebase Authentication: your account ID, and the email address and name that came with your Apple or Google sign-in.

4Delete the data on your phone

Your records on the phone aren’t part of the backup account, so deleting the backup leaves them where they are. To delete them:

  • Settings → Delete all data removes every profile, trip, document, photo, file, date and setting ResidentStep keeps on your phone.
  • Uninstalling ResidentStep removes them too.

An export you saved yourself isn’t touched: delete it where you saved it.

Premium isn’t affected

Premium belongs to your Apple Account or Google account, not to ResidentStep. Restore purchases brings it back.
